Do you know where you can find a Defibrillator in Higham?

The Parish Council is organising a number of Awareness Sessions for residents so you can find out how you can help in an emergency.

Sessions will be running at a number of Clubs and events in the village between 18th and 21st October and there will also be several Public Drop In Sessions when anyone can call in to join in with the Defibrillator Training.

Thursday 18th October

Drop in session in the library – any time between 2.30pm and 4.30pm.

Friday 19th October drop in anytime between 7.30 and 9.30pm

Session at the Relax and Enjoy Event in The Pavilion on The Recreation Ground – details of this event are listed on events.

Saturday 20th October

Drop In session in Higham library anytime between 10.30am and 1.30pm.

Sunday 21st October

Drop In session in the Pavilion on The Recreation Ground anytime between 10 and 12 noon.

The Higham Village Plan

The Higham Village Plan has been published and you can view it here: Higham Village Plan

Paper copies of the plan will also be available in the library.

The Plan will be used by inform the Parish Council, other councils and service providers about the opinions of residents on the important issues for our village and its residents. This will help prioritise actions and allocate resources.

This first version is a starting point – a living, working document which will evolve over the next 10 years. It will be reviewed and updated – residents will be kept up to date with progress and new actions.

Update Number 6

The first draft of the Plan is almost completed. In early February, The Parish Council will be looking at the Plan and discussing the proposed actions.

The final version should be ready for printing by the end of February.

A summary version of the Plan will be delivered to every home in the village during March – along with the Annual Newsletter. The full version of the Plan will be on-line at:

First draft of the plan .. almost

Following all your feedback and survey responses, we are currently in the process of developing the first draft of the Village Plan.

It is almost there, not quite finished but getting very close and it is looking great!

We will be providing an update soon on when the plan will be completed and available and when to start looking out for the summary coming to your letterbox soon!
